At the May 7th Council Meeting, Mayor Junior Williams read a Resolution that recognizes the week of May 8th-16th as Light Ohio Blue week in the Village. The purpose of the Light Ohio Blue is to honor and pay respect to the law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty as well as those currently serving and civilian staff. The New Boston Police Department has had two Officers killed in the line of duty, Marshal Art Rutter in 1906 and Marshal Tom Harris in 1928.

For this week, please put a blue light bulb in your light on your front porch or outside of your business. You can wrap a blue ribbon on your car antenna or on a light pole on your property.  This campaign of Light Ohio Blue has gone Statewide for the first time in Ohio. It was started in the City of Columbus.  Thank you to all who supports our Police Department.
